Chinese Stir-Fry Black Pepper Beef

INGREDIENTS
1 lb Angus Sirloin Steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp baking soda
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 green pepper, cut into bite-sized cubes
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tbsp ground black peppercorn
1 tsp cornstarch
For Serving
Steamed white rice
INSTRUCTIONS
Marinate the beef with baking soda and add 2 tbsp of water. Mix well together. Leave for 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Then rinse & drain off with water. Set it aside.
Make black pepper sauce. Mix well and set aside.
In a high heat wok or pan, add 2 tbsp of cooking oil.
Add the beef and let it cook for about 4 to 5 minutes until the beef char a little bit at the bottom, then flip to the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes.
Next, add green pepper and onion. Stir and toss for 30 seconds.
Then quickly add the black pepper sauce. Stir and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Finally, transfer onto a plate and serve with steamed white rice.
